International Merchandise Trade Statistics - April 2016
Provisional data for April 2016 was :
- total imports $245.5 million
- total exports $133.3 million
Compared to April 2015, imports and total exports decreased by $101.9 million (29.3%) and $26.4 million (16.5%) respectively.
The April 2016 trade deficit amounted to $112.2 million compared to $176.4 million a month earlier.

Provisional Visitor Arrivals - August 2016
Provisional numbers show that visitor arrivals for August 2016 totaled 76,347 an increase of 4.1% compared to a year earlier.
There were increases in the number of visitors from the following countries;
- 20,647 New Zealand
- 6,297 USA
- 4,986 China
- 3.426 Continental Europe

Consumer Price Index - September 2016
The All Items CPI for the month of September registered an increase of 0.1 percent over August 2016 [114.4] and stands at 114.5.
Details of price changes between August 2016 and September 2016 by expenditure class are as follows:

- ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES, TOBACCO AND NARCOTICS: +5.2%
