This Statistical Abstract is UBOS’s prime annual publication through which key statistical information derived from the latest surveys, censuses and administrative records of Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) is disseminated.
The information on the Statistical Abstract covers statistics on the Environment, Demographic, Socio-economic, Production and Macroeconomic sectors. The information on these sectors is presented either basing on the Calendar Year (Jan-Dec) or Financial Year (July-June).

The Uganda Demographic and Health Survey provides Ugandan's population demographic characteristics, family planning efforts, maternal mortality, and infant and child mortality. It also provides information on health care services and activities, antenatal, delivery, and postnatal care, children’s immunisations, and management of childhood diseases. The 1988/89, 1995, 2000-01, 2006 and 2011 Uganda Demograhic and Health surveys have so far been released. The UDHS 2011 is the latest publication in these series.
