Dean Chester L. Gillis
Gillis is a professor in the theology department, and the director of the Program on the Church and Interreligious Dialogue in the Berkley Center for Religion, Peace, & World Affairs. He is an expert on the U.S. Catholic Church, the history of Catholicism, interfaith dialogue and religious pluralism. Gillis' research interests include comparative religion and contemporary Roman Catholicism. He is the author of numerous books and co-editor of the Columbia University series Religion and Politics. He is currently working on a new edition of his Roman Catholicism in America and a book on inter-religious marriage. Learn more

Grzywacz’s extensive research combines multiple disciplines, including neuroscience, physics, cognitive science, cellular biology, biomedical engineering, and mathematical and computational modeling. Dr. Healton, who also is executive vice president of Georgetown University Medical Center (GUMC) is responsible for advancing the center’s educational and research missions and for working effectively with the leadership of MedStar Health, its clinical partner. GUMC comprises the School of Medicine, the School of Nursing & Health Studies, the Georgetown Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center and the Biomedical Graduate Research Organization.
Dean for Research Robert Clarke, Ph.D, D.Sc.
Clarke leads Georgetown University Medical Center’s high performance research community, expanding its extramural funding and promoting the efforts of its faculty. Also, he works in collaboration with the Georgetown University Graduate School of Arts and Sciences to cultivate and strengthen the research components of the University’s graduate programs and the quality of graduate biomedical education. A Dreyfus Merit Scholar at the University of North Carolina, Dr. Mitchell has been honored by election to a mastership in the American College of Physicians for his work in research in clinical teaching methods, and clinical research and care in Pediatric and Adult Rheumatology and Immunology. He has innovated pedagogical methods in the integrated learning center at the School of Medicine where he has served as chief academic officer for the past decade. Learn more
Dean Patricia Cloonan of the School of Nursing & Health Studies
Building upon a longtime career as an administrator, educator, and nurse, Patricia Cloonan, PhD, RN, serves as dean of Georgetown University School of Nursing & Health Studies (NHS). Cloonan has been a member of the Georgetown community for more than 20 years. During that time, she has held a number of academic leadership roles, worked to build strong partnerships with health systems and professional organizations, and led and supported the development of new academic programming and experiential learning opportunities. Dean William M. Treanor
Treanor came to Georgetown from Fordham Law School, where he held the Paul Fuller Chair and had been dean since 2002 and a member of the faculty since 1991. A constitutional law scholar who specializes in constitutional history, he has written extensively on the history of constitutional protection of private property and on the original understanding of the Constitution. He is currently one of the ten most cited legal historians. Treanor was a clerk to Judge Oakes of the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, a speechwriter to the Secretary of Education and a Special Assistant U.S. Attorney in the District of Columbia. From 1987 to 1990, he worked as associate counsel in the Office of the Iran-Contra Independent Counsel. During the Clinton Administration, he held the post of Deputy Assistant Attorney General in the Department of Justice’s Office of Legal Counsel from 1998 to 2001. Learn more

Dean Joel Hellman
As both a scholar and practitioner, Dean Joel Hellman brings to Georgetown a unique and valuable perspective from his work on issues of governance, conflict and the political economy of development around the world. He joins the School of Foreign Service following 15 years of service at the World Bank, where he most recently served as chief institutional economist and previously led its engagement with fragile and conflict-affected states as director of the Center on Conflict, Security and Development in Nairobi, Kenya.

Dean Rohan Williamson
Williamson is the interim dean of Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business, as well as professor of finance and the Bolton Sullivan and Thomas A. Dean Chair of International Business. A member of the McDonough faculty for nearly 20 years, Williamson has played an integral role in the growth and development of the school, serving as a member of the Academic Leadership Council, as area coordinator for finance, and as chair of the MBA Curriculum Design Committee and the McDonough School of Business Undergraduate Curriculum Committee. Otter's academic career has focused on adult and professional education, utilizing her expertise in technology mediated education, enrollment management through strategic marketing, recruitment and prospect cultivation, curriculum development, program assessment and evaluation, as well as cultivation of internal and external partnerships. Dean Edward Montgomery
Montgomery came to Georgetown in 2010 after serving as the executive director of the White House Council for Auto Communities and Workers under President Obama. Dean Montgomery also served in the Department of Labor during the Clinton Administration and as dean of the College of Behavioral and Social Sciences at the University of Maryland. He studies labor economics and has a Ph.D. in Economics from Harvard University. Learn more

Dean Gerd Nonneman
Nonneman has served as the dean of the School of Foreign Service in Qatar since 2011. He is a former professor of international relations and Middle East politics from the University of Exeter in the United Kingdom. Nonneman joined the faculty of University of Exeter in 2007, and previously served as director of its Institute of Arab & Islamic Studies. Prior to coming to the University of Exeter, he held the position of professor of Middle East politics at Lancaster University, where he oversaw their M.A. Studies program. He also has a long record of engagement with the government and NGO policy community, both in the West and in the Middle East region. From 2003-2004, Nonneman assisted the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Sultanate of Oman in developing the curriculum for its Diplomatic College. Learn More
