Students promote respect and celebrate their heritage and interests in many different ways on campus. The Students of Color Alliance sponsors an annual awards ceremony to honor students, faculty and staff committed to diversity on campus. Each year hundreds of students perform in Rangila, a celebration of South Asian culture featuring music and dance. Asiafest includes performances by the Chinese Student Alliance, Club Filipino, Japan Network and the Korean Student Association. El Reventón Latino celebrates Latin culture and features original poetry and prose, dancing and modern and folk music. Georgetown University Pride organizes educational and social events for the LGBTQ community and its allies, including Pride Week and Coming Out Week.
