What Does the TRUSTe Seal Mean?
If you have any concerns with the privacy practices of a website or app that displays a TRUSTe Privacy Seal, or lists TRUSTe as their dispute resolution provider, you can use our Dispute Resolution process for assistance resolving your claim.
Resolve a Privacy Dispute
File a complaint using TRUSTe’s online Dispute Resolution form. You can report violations of posted privacy statements and specific privacy concerns that pertain to TRUSTe client websites. We investigate all eligible complaints and mediate solutions between users and websites.
Find Privacy Program Participants
Search the TRUSTe Directory to see which sites have qualified for TRUSTe verification or certification.
The EU-US Privacy Shield
The EU-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework was designed by the U.S. Department of Commerce and European Commission to provide companies on both sides of the Atlantic with a mechanism to comply with EU data protection requirements when transferring personal data from the European Union to the United States in support of transatlantic commerce.
