King Receives the US Achievement Academy's Award

His Majesty King Abdullah II received on Saturday the Golden Plate Award for Achievement from the US Achievement Academy in apperception of distinguished people in the areas of politics, science, culture and art creativity and business.

The Award was handed by Mrs. Coretta Scott King, the widow of civil rights advocate for the black community in the US Martin Luther King.

Ceremony master, Spens Crand, said that His Majesty, who forms the 43 generation of Prophet Muhammad's descendant, represents old and new aspirations of the Arabs.

The Academy chose two distinguished Jordanian students who participated in its conference this year, the students are Inas Jehad, a computer programmer from Princess Sumyyah University College and Hussam Masri, an information technologist from the University of Jordan.

Prior to the ceremony, the King met with both students and highly valued their distinguished efforts and their leadership characteristics which drew the academy's attention.
