Clear spells and occasional showers, turning wintry for some.
Any residual rain will soon clear the south-east. A cold night will then follow with showers, turning wintry over the hills, and perhaps to low levels in the north, bringing the risk of frost and icy patches by dawn.
Wet and cold start to the week but a change to high pressure will bring drier and sunnier conditions by the end of the week. Darren Bett reports.
