How can we help?
I didn't know my JPASS would automatically renew. Can I get a refund?
Yes. Please contact jpass@jstor.org to request a refund.
When do I have to disable automatic renewals to avoid getting charged?
Please disable JPASS automatic renewals at least two days before your next plan is scheduled to renew. Check your MyJSTOR account for your next scheduled renewal.
How do I disable JPASS automatic renewals?
You can stop automatic renewals anytime by changing the renewal settings in your MyJSTOR account.
What is your refund policy?
We want you to be completely happy with your purchase. The 1-year JPASS plan is refundable within two weeks of purchase if no more than 10 downloads are used during that time. Simply contact JSTOR Support to let us know you'd like a refund. Please include the following information when you contact us: 1. Your name and preferred contact information 2. The PayPal Transaction ID for your JPASS purchase 3. The reason for your refund request Upon receipt, we'll review your request to verify that the terms of the policy are met and issue a full refund in the original form of payment. Refund requests received more than 14 days following purchase will not be eligible. Please note the 1-month JPASS plan is not eligible for a refund.
How does the archiving process impact JPASS?
Because the archive of a journal necessarily grows to include more issues over time, a new year’s worth of published content is added to most journals in the JPASS Collection each January.
How much can I read with JPASS?
You can read ALL the content in the JPASS Collection: full articles and book reviews, entire issues of journals, and decades of academic research.
How will I know when new content is added to the JPASS Collection?
We will send a regular communication notifying you of new additions to the JPASS Collection. To stay informed about the latest JPASS updates, we encourage you to confirm that you wish to receive JSTOR communications in your email preferences in the My Profile section of your MyJSTOR account.
Is content on JSTOR ever free to access?
Yes. Our Early Journal Content and Register & Read programs offer free read-only access to a limited set of content on JSTOR for individuals.
How do I purchase JPASS?
Depending on your research needs, you can choose from a 1-month or 1-year access plan. We will ask you to register for a MyJSTOR account, or to log in if you already have one. Click the “Check out with PayPal” button to submit your payment information, then confirm your purchase details and click “Purchase” to finalize your order. We’ll send you a receipt for your purchase, and then you can begin accessing JSTOR with JPASS!
I want to purchase JPASS, but I do not have a PayPal account. Do I have to use PayPal?
During checkout, you will be presented with the option of paying as a guest with a debit or credit card. You do not need to log in to PayPal or register for a new PayPal account to purchase JPASS.
