Public libraries around the globe—from small branch libraries and county-based systems to national archives—participate in JSTOR. With JSTOR, patrons gain access to an essential resource that meets their educational, professional, and independent research needs.

Archival Journal Collections

JSTOR's archival journal collections include more than two thousand journals in the humanities, social sciences, and sciences. Both multidisciplinary and discipline-specific journal collections are offered, covering more than 50 academic disciplines. At present, JSTOR contains a range of Arts & Sciences Collections, a multidisciplinary Life Sciences Collection, discipline-specific collections, and four primary source collections.

The journal content above has been packaged in three collections, made specifically for public libraries at JSTOR: Collections I, II, and III.

JSTOR includes the complete archival record of each journal. Coverage begins at the first volume and issue ever published, and extends up to a publication date usually set in the past three to five years.
