Since its creation in 2009, sustainability@BU has pioneered many innovative and effective programs at Boston University. Thanks to that great work and the enthusiastic cooperation of our students, faculty and staff, the University is now recognized locally and nationally for its sustainable efforts on campus.

In 2010, Boston University was recognized in Princeton Review’s Guide to 286 Green Colleges for its exceptional “commitment to sustainability activities and initiatives.” In the same year, Sierra Club, the nation’s leading grassroots environmental organization, added BU to its select list of the 100 Coolest Schools in the U.S.

And that’s just for starters. Here, you will find a collection of awards and recognition that the university has received for its ongoing excellence in sustainability.
