DAMASCUS, SYRIA (11:10 P.M.) – Al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP) released a statement on Friday evening, claiming to have killed and injured 30 Houthi fighters in Bayda province over the past week.
The alleged death toll was inflicted due to jihadist attacks on the Al-Jamajim and Al-Hasir areas of Al-Zahir district, a rural region of the Bayda governorate in central Yemen.
Al-Masdar News could not independently verify the AQAP claim.
ISIS is also active in this province, often raiding the Houthi-led Popular Committees.
