The 11th Al Jazeera Forum, "State Crisis and the Future of the Middle East" drew to a close after two days of engaging conversations and vital interventions in Doha on Sunday, 16 April 2017.

Speaking at the closing ceremony of the forum, Director of Al Jazeera Centre for Studies and Chairman of the Higher Organising Committee of the 11th Al Jazeera Forum Salah Eddin Elzein thanked all the esteemed speakers and presenters for enriching the forum through their interventions and intriguing questions.

Upon repeated requests by the audience, Elzein reopened the floor for more questions and observations in order to provide maximum opportunity for audience participation.

The director also said that the content of the forum will be available in a book comprising all the discussions and observations as well as in the form of video content.

“The reason for having such forums,” he said, “is to open widen the horizon and deepen the knowledge and understanding of our region by discussing key issues and having dialogues that enrich our experience through the exchange of ideas”.

The Chairman of the Higher Organising Committee went on to thank the audience for its participation at the venue and through social media. He lauded the work of the partners at Al Jazeera Centre for Public Liberties and Human Rights, Al Jazeera Net, Al Jazeera Mubasher and especially the staff at Al Jazeera Centre for Studies.

He said he sincerely appreciated the participation of official institutions including the Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Qatar Red Crescent, Qatar Volunteers Centre and the translators and interpreters in making the event a success.
