Mark delivered the Commencement Address at Harvard University.

“Today I want to talk about purpose. But I'm not here to give you the standard commencement about finding your purpose. We're millennials. We'll try to do that instinctively. Instead, I'm here to tell you finding your purpose isn't enough. The challenge for our generation is creating a world where everyone has a sense of purpose.”

We hosted Lola Omolola today, the second in our “get to know the people who run the most important groups on Facebook” series.

Lola is a Chicago-based journalis...t, born and raised in Lagos, who founded “FIN” — Females in Nigeria — a place for Nigerian women to come together. She started the group in 2015 with the goal of reaching one thousand members, but in the coming weeks it will pass one million. They now regularly meet up in the thousands in cities all around the world.

A lot of these groups are secret, so they’re hard to find. Meeting their founders is like meeting a secret celebrity: they have a day job, but by night they’re running a major operation, and to their community, they’re a star.

Lola was radiant, and she gave us a rundown of the next 22 features she needs to be even more effective. We took careful notes.
