New agreements: UBC Museum of Anthropology and UBC Library

Artstor and the University of British Columbia are collaborating to make available more than 65,000 images of art and other cultural objects from the UBC Museum of Anthropology’s permanent collection, and 250 Japanese maps from the UBC Library’s Tokugawa collection.

New agreement: Albright-Knox Art Gallery

Artstor and the Albright-Knox Art Gallery are collaborating to make 2,000 images of artworks from the museum’s Fine Art Collection available in the Digital Library.
Founded officially in December 1862, the Albright-Knox Art Gallery is among the country’s oldest public arts institutions in the United States. Since its inception as The Buffalo Fine Arts Academy, the museum has been dedicated to acquiring, exhibiting, and preserving modern and contemporary art, giving rise to one of the world’s most extraordinary art collections.

New agreement: Cincinnati Art Museum

Artstor and the Cincinnati Art Museum are collaborating to share approximately 1,000 images from the Museum’s permanent collection in the Digital Library.
Founded in 1881, the Cincinnati Art Museum is one of the oldest arts institutions in the United States, and boasts a rich collection of more than 65,000 works of art spanning 6,000 years. This unique collection includes the ancient art of Egypt, Greece, and Rome, as well as Near and Far Eastern art, art of Africa and the Americas, costume and textiles, prints, drawings, photographs, paintings, sculpture, decorative art, and contemporary art.

New agreement: Additional images from the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art

Artstor and San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (SFMOMA) are collaborating to make 500 additional images of works from the Museum’s collection available in the Digital Library, including 50 selections from the Doris and Donald Fisher Collection. This collaboration brings the slated total of images from the Museum in the Digital Library to approximately 1,800.

Artstor and the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation are collaborating to make available approximately 1,000 images of works from the Foundation’s collections in the Digital Library.
The Colonial Williamsburg Foundation operates the world’s largest living history museum in Williamsburg, Virginia—the restored 18th-century capital of Britain’s largest, wealthiest, and most populous outpost of empire in the New World. Here it interprets the origins of the idea of America in the years before and during the American Revolution. The story of Colonial Williamsburg’s Revolutionary City tells how diverse peoples, having different and sometimes conflicting ambitions, evolved into a society that valued liberty and equality.

New agreement: Worcester Art Museum

Artstor and the Worcester Art Museum are collaborating to release more than 20,000 images of artworks from the Museum’s permanent collection in the Digital Library.
Founded in 1898, the Worcester Art Museum (WAM) is world-renowned for its 38,000-piece encyclopedic collection of paintings, sculpture, decorative arts, photography, prints, drawings, arms and armor, and new media. The works span over 5,000 years of art and culture. In addition to the Roman mosaic-laden Renaissance court and French chapter house, strengths of the permanent collection include collections of European and North American painting, prints, photographs, and drawings; Asian art; Greek and Roman sculpture and mosaics; and contemporary art. With its recent acquisition of the collection from the Higgins Armory Museum, WAM continues to diversify and expand its curatorial and programmatic offerings.

New agreement: More images from the Colby College Museum of Art

Artstor and the Colby College Museum are collaborating to make available approximately 1,000 additional images from the museum’s permanent collection in the Digital Library.
Founded in 1959, the Colby College Museum of Art has built a significant permanent collection of more than 6,000 works. The museum serves both as a teaching resource for Colby College and as an active cultural institution for the residents of Maine and visitors to the state.
