Cumann Seanchais Ard Mhacha/Armagh Diocesan Historical Society

Cumann Seanchais Ard Mhacha/Armagh Diocesan Historical Society, founded in 1952, is the publisher of the journal Seanchas Ard Mhacha. Cumann Seanchais Ard Mhacha seeks through various activities to promote and support research into all aspects of local history on the Archdiocese of Armagh and the Irish experience abroad. The Society hosts regular lectures, occasional conferences, sometimes in tandem with other societies, and publish the journal annually. To date, the Society has overseen the publication of forty-three numbers of the journal, hosted well over 800 lectures and conferences, and it continues to aspire to encourage local historical and archaeological studies in various languages and disciplines.
