The Museum Ethnographers Group is an international collective, whose members include curators, conservators, educators, students, academics and artists. First established in 1975, MEG has a long history of bringing individuals, institutions and museum collections together to build knowledge and understanding around museum ethnography. MEG organizes an annual conference, publishes the Journal of Museum Ethnography, circulates an email newsletter to its member and has an expanding web presence. MEG is an active interface between museum professionals and university-based researchers and is recognized in the museums sector in the UK as a key subject-specialist network. Membership is open to individuals and UK museums, with journal subscription available for universities and overseas museums.
