Sony Foundation raises over $880k with Wharf4Ward

Sony Foundation's Wharf4Ward event has raised over $880,000 for youth cancer charity, You Can.

The event, which was held over all six restaurants at Sydney's Woolloomooloo Wharf was hosted by Hamish and Andy alongside Natalie Bassingthwaighte, Ronan Keating, Samantha Armytage, Richard Wilkins, Peter Overton and James Tobin.

The day featured performances by Sony Music Artists Jessica Mauboy, Dami Im and the newly crowned X Factor winner Marlisa Punzalan, with a special performance by Human Nature, who entered on a luxury yacht.
The event raises funds for Sony Foundation's you cancer program, You Can, with all funds going towards the construction of specialised youth cancer centres around the country.

A You Can Centre was recently built in Perth, with Sony Foundation committing $1.5m for a second centre in Sydney, with discussions to build a third in centre in Melbourne.

Prior to this year's event, Wharf4Ward has raised in excess of $2.7m.

In addition to the celebrity support, Sony Foundation receives amazing support from Woolloomooloo Wharf's restaurants, Otto, China Doll, Kingsley's, Manta, Criniti's and Aki's in hosting Sydney's longest lunch.
