The California Digital Library seeks a dynamic, forward-looking digital library professional as its next Manager of Digital Content Development and Strategy.  Working in a highly collaborative environment, this position is responsible for cultivating new opportunities and partnerships in shared digital collection development and web archiving across the ten campuses of the University of California and beyond.  A key responsibility in Year 1 will be developing and implementing a communications and outreach plan for Cobweb, a one year grant funded project to develop a collaborative collection development platform for the creation of comprehensive web archives.   Additional responsibilities include pursuing collaborative strategies and approaches for large scale digitization of general and special library collections, identifying and proposing strategies to address at-risk content and/or new content areas, and realizing the benefits of shared collection platforms such as HathiTrust.  If you have a passion for digital library collections and the technical, project management, and partnership skills to bring collaborative projects to fruition, we welcome your application.
