I love having Google Play Music, especially considering I pay for the unlimited service. But the app sometimes drives me nuts... When reopening the app from the background (while music is playing or not), I really wish it would return to the last place I was (artist, album, etc.), but it always defaults back to playlists, which I RARELY use. Also, lately, it's been skipping while playing music, INCLUDING my downloaded and/or self-acquired music on my phone's memory. If it wasn't for these 2 things, though, the app would be perfect! I love the radio availability, the online library, and being able to use it with my Google Home and Chromecasts. I like how it's organized and set up. Just needs some improvements with playback and last place visited.

I really appreciate what this app represents, which is the main and stock music player for Android devices. However, what I find extremely disappointing is the UI, it hasn't changed in years. I don't use the app as a streaming service, I just listen to music bought in iTunes and in the Google play store. Being the stock music player on Android demands a greater user experience, one which is focused on better ways of displaying the content we users listen to. It's sad to see recent updates just for bug fixes, there's a ton of room for improvement.
Having problem where it keeps saying my SD Card is removed. It then says not enough space to download music.I goto settings in Google Play Music My SD card is Showing up. I select it.then it re download music that has already been downloaded. Other than that its still good.I find lotta Trance Music between this and YouTube Red.This is free music with YouTube Red Subscription.I actually do love the music don't seem to find it anywhere else.
I LOVE Google Play Music. Love it. That said a few changes would make it better. The first would be too create/save queue with podcasts like one can with music. Second would be to integrate lyrics with songs/videos. I can find lyrics online in browser for Google Play lyrics but not in the app. Kinda frustrating. It would also be nice to have the videos integrated into the app better. Even be able to just create video playlists in the app without the need to go to YouTube. Though the YouTube Red addition to the subscription is pretty bitchin. Thanks for an awesome app just the same!
All the features off the app work greatly with my family plan. I have all the music i want, downloads with no problem and overall works very well. It's been working fine until recently , when I'm listening, the music will have short pauses , almost like it's skipping , I thought we left this when we stopped using CDs. I've updated the app , restarted my phone and even uninstalled the app and installed it again. Still does this, it's not just my headphones either, and other music apps work perfectly fine. Without this it would be a full 5 stars though.
Really great music app! I love being able to add my own music. However, I'm not a fan of how the app cache refreshes when I exit the app via home button, open a different app, then switch back to this one only to wind up on the home screen (even if I still have music playing). It's annoying to have to navigate all the way back to my playlist at this point. Social integration and sharing would also be super appreciated.
