The Ohran International Arab Film Festival has invited Egyptian actor Mohamed Ali to be one of the guests of honour at its upcoming edition, which is scheduled to run from 25 to 31 July in Bahia, Algeria.
Ali was a co-star in this year’s Ramadan television series Tayea, where he received popular acclaim for his role as a police officer hunting down artefact looters.
Tayea was directed by Amr Salama, and also starred Amr Youssef, Amr Abdelgelil, and Saba Mubarak.
The formal invitation was extended by Algeria's Culture Minister Ezz Al-Din Mahyouby, and the head of the festival Ibrahim Sedeiky.
Singer Afaf Shoeib is another Egyptian guest of honour at this edition.
