Where are all the women on our cash?
Women are far less likely to feature on banknotes than men. So what does it take to get immortalised on cash?
Of all the states and territories in the world, only 39% have women on their currency – for a group that makes up over half the world’s population, women are getting short-changed.
So, for the first part of our new series called Faces of Money, we delve into the stories behind the under-represented women who you might see every day – but not notice.
