I've received a 'Lottery win' email, is it genuine?

We've been made aware of emails of this nature claiming to be affiliated with the BBC.

These emails have no connection with the BBC whatsoever and you should ignore them. You should not reply to them or open any links in them and if you believe that persons are attempting to deceive you with a view to monetary gain, you should contact the police.
