I've had an Internet presence with one history project or another since the beginning of the Web, most notably with the Historical Atlas of the 20th Century​. At last count, my work has been cited in 326 books and 92 scholarly journals​. My new book, The Great Big Book of Horrible Things, a chronicle of the 100 worst atrocities people have committed on one another, is being published by W. W. Norton in Fall of 2011.
