Max Bouchet
Max Bouchet is a research analyst at the Brookings Institution’s Metropolitan Policy Program. He conducts research on the economic competitiveness of metro areas, with a focus on translating complex issues into plans of action. He is currently working on the Global Cities Initiative to help U.S. and international metro areas strengthen their global economic connections and competitiveness.
Previously, Max was chief analyst of Conway, Inc., an Atlanta-based economic development consultancy firm that publishes Site Selection magazine. He managed research and statistical analyses on investment attraction strategies for state and local economic development organizations, both domestic and foreign. He oversaw data research for various global rankings and publications on international trade and foreign direct investment.
He graduated from the Paris Institute of Political Studies (Sciences Po Paris, France) with a bachelor's degree in Political Science and a Master of Public Affairs. Max is a French native speaker, is fluent in Spanish and conversant in Mandarin Chinese after studying a year at Fudan University in Shanghai.
