Sahar Elhabashi

Interim President

Sahar Elhabashi manages all aspects of CNE’s thriving digital video division, feature film and television operations. She works closely with senior management to drive growth across the division and develop new business opportunities.

Previously, Elhabashi was chief operating officer of Discovery Networks International from 2007 to 2010. She was responsible for the day-to-day operations of Discovery’s international business, which distributed 17 media brands to 877 million television subscribers globally. Prior to Discovery, Elhabashi was executive vice president of strategy and digital media at MTV Networks International. In this role, she oversaw the rapid expansion of MTV Networks’ international digital media business in Europe, Asia and Latin America, including the launch of branded mobile TV channels and video-based websites around the world.

Elhabashi holds an MBA from Columbia Business School and a BS in economics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Jonathan Koa

Senior Vice President, Scripted Programming

As the lead executive for scripted television at CNE, Jonathan Koa is responsible for all aspects of acquiring, developing and overseeing production of long-form scripted television series inspired by the Condé Nast brands.

Before CNE, Koa was an executive at the ABC Television Network, overseeing the production and development of new comedy series. He has worked with a large list of top comedy talent, including Greg Daniels, Bill Lawrence, James Burrows, David Caspe, Emily Kapnek, Greg Garcia, Lauren Lungerich, Shana Goldberg-Meehan, Jonathan Groff, Jeff and Jackie Filgo, Lee Eisenberg and Gene Stupinsky, Victor Fresco, John Enbom, Chris Moynihan and Amy Sherman-Palladino. While at ABC, Koa oversaw the successful re-launch of “Scrubs,” as well as the development and launch of the series “Selfie,” “Better with You,” “Malibu Country,” and “Man Up!”

Prior to joining ABC, Koa served as vice president, drama programming and development at Universal Media Studios (UMS; formerly NBC Universal Television Studios) working with top talent, including Jason Katims, David Shore, Spike Lee, Andy Breckman, Ron Moore, John Eisendrath, Liz Heldens, Tommy Schlamme, Cindy Chupack, Jason Smilovic, Gary Scott Thompson, Gretchen Berg and Aaron Harberts, and Doug Liman. Koa oversaw the production of the award-winning series “House” (Fox), “Monk” (USA), “Parenthood” (NBC) and “Mercy” (NBC).

Prior to UMS, Koa served as director, drama programming, NBC Universal Television Studio, where he oversaw the development and production of such series as “Las Vegas,” “Heist,” “Knight Rider,” “In Plain Sight” and the international co-production “Crusoe.”

Koa received his undergraduate degree from George Washington University.

Joe LaBracio

Executive Vice President, Alternative Programming

Joe LaBracio is responsible for developing and producing unscripted programming, much of which is inspired by the iconic Condé Nast brands. Recent series include “Last Chance U” (Netflix), “Vanity Fair Confidential” (Discovery ID), “Most Expensivest” (Viceland), “The Fashion Fund” (Amazon), "The New Yorker Presents" (Amazon) and “Geeks Who Drink” (Syfy).

Prior to CNE, LaBracio was the co-head of the alternative television department at United Talent Agency (UTA) where he played an integral role in building the agency’s international format, broadcast and cable television businesses, and packaged over one hundred television series.

Previously, LaBracio was an agent in the television department of Creative Artists Agency (CAA). Prior to his time as an agent, LaBracio was an executive at CBS where he oversaw series production of “The Amazing Race,” “Big Brother” and “Rock Star,” among others. LaBracio started his television career working for Ted Koppel at ABC News’ late-night staple, “Nightline.”

LaBracio has a BA in Government from Dartmouth College.

Joanna Dodd Massey

Head of CNE Communications

As Head of CNE Communications, Joanna Dodd Massey oversees internal and external communications for the division.

She manages both employee communications and media relations, oversees the PR staff, and supervises publicity for CNE’s films, TV series and the more than 5,000 digital videos that the company produces and distributes annually. Massey works in partnership with all of the Condé Nast publications to manage communications for video projects across the broad portfolio of brands.

Prior to joining CNE, Massey was Senior Vice President, Corporate Communications at Lionsgate where she served as a corporate spokesperson and helped handle communications for quarterly reporting, M&A activities, and announcements involving the Company’s film, television, games, location-based entertainment, streaming, and home entertainment businesses worldwide. Prior to Lionsgate, Massey held numerous senior-level communications positions, including Senior Vice President, Corporate Communications; Publicity at the Hub Network, a joint venture between Discovery and Hasbro; Senior Vice President, Communications/West Coast for CBS Corporation, where she was the lead media relations executive for CBS’s digital media ventures—CBS Mobile and CBS.com; and Senior Vice President, Media Relations at UPN, where she was responsible for overseeing internal and external communications for the network.

Massey has a BA in journalism from the University of Southern California (USC), an MBA from USC, as well as two graduate degrees in psychology—a Master in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University Los Angeles, and a Doctorate in Transpersonal Psychology from Sofia University (formerly the Institute of Transpersonal Psychology). Massey is also currently obtaining a Certificate in Corporate Finance from Harvard.

Croi McNamara

Senior Vice President, Programming, Digital Video

As the head of programming for CNE’s digital video division, Croi McNamara oversees the programming and production of digital video franchises created for and inspired by Condé Nast’s iconic brands. 

McNamara most recently served as vice president and general manager at Upworthy Media, where she grew monthly video views to more than 400 percent in less than a year. Prior to Upworthy, McNamara served as the global head of design and media for Thomson Reuters IP&S, where she was instrumental in the company’s pivot to digital and video storytelling.

Previously, she was a director and executive producer for Discovery Communications’ digital studios and published tens of thousands of pieces of content annually across Discovery’s flagship networks, including Discovery, Animal Planet, TLC and Science Channel. While at Discovery, McNamara was executive producer of the 2014 Interactive Emmy Award winning, “SkyWire Live.” She also helmed the multimedia Emmy-nominated, Webby and ADDY award-winning “Whale Wars: Blood and Water” for Animal Planet, and piloted numerous projects that went on to become successful franchises within the Discovery Digital eco-system.

McNamara began her career as a producer, writer and line producer, working for National Geographic, Discovery Communications, RTE, NHK and the Food Network, among others.  She was line producer on the 2012 Peabody Award winning documentary film, “Rebirth.”

She received her BA from Temple University.

Teal Newland

Senior Vice President, Marketing & New Platforms

Teal Newland oversees marketing for CNE, video operations and distribution, as well as the scheduling team.

In addition, she manages development of original programming for new platforms, including social, mobile and 360/VR. She also started the social studio team, an internal social creative agency that serves as a cross-brand resource.

Newland joined CNE from StumbleUpon’s executive team, where she lead consumer and trade marketing, revenue and advertising solutions, and media partnerships. Prior to StumbleUpon, she was a vice president/group director at DigitasLBi (Publicis Groupe), a full service advertising agency, working across all agency clients, including American Express, Delta Airlines, Intel, and Samsung, in developing global content and media strategy, audience engagement initiatives and social activation platforms. Previously Newland consulted for entertainment companies, including The Walt Disney Company, and spent over six years with Microsoft in a global revenue and media innovation capacity on both their U.S. and European teams.

Newland has a BA in Political Science from the University of Washington.

Bruce Perlmutter

Senior Vice President, Production

As head of digital video production for CNE, Bruce Perlmutter oversees physical production of more than 5,000 digital videos produced annually, which are inspired by Condé Nast’s iconic brands. 

Prior to joining CNE in 2017, Perlmutter served as executive producer at BuzzFeed, where he created and oversaw their live, global election night coverage in partnership with Twitter. He also served as video content and strategy consultant for Fandango. In news, Perlmutter has been executive producer for the Fox Business Network, as well as senior executive producer at MSNBC and CNN.

Perlmutter had held myriad executive positions, including senior vice president Revolt Media and Television, where he built, launched and ran the day-to-day operations for the music and lifestyle network targeting the highly coveted millennial demographic. He also served as senior vice president E! Networks, where his oversight included E! Online, E! News, long form specials, red carpet live streams, new program and talent development.

Perlmutter graduated from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University.

Jeremy Steckler

Executive Vice President, Motion Pictures

As the lead motion picture executive at CNE, Jeremy Steckler is responsible for all aspects of acquiring, developing and overseeing production of film properties for the company, many of which are inspired by stories published by the iconic Condé Nast brands. 

Steckler, who joined CNE in 2012, currently oversees 35 film projects in various stages of development with Hollywood studios and financiers and serves as a producer on all of them, including “Only the Brave,” with Josh Brolin, Miles Teller and Academy Award winners Jeff Bridges and Laura Connelly, released by Sony on October 20, 2017; “The Old Man and the Gun,” starring Academy Award winners Robert Redford, Casey Affleck and Sissy Spacek with Fox Searchlight distributing; and “King of the Jungle” starring Johnny Depp, which is currently in development. Steckler also served as a producer on CNE’s previously released “Army of One” and “The First Monday in May.”

Steckler came to CNE from Imagine Entertainment, where he was executive vice president of production and oversaw production and development for major motion picture and television-to-film adaptations. Prior to that, Steckler was senior vice president of production at Fox Searchlight, where he oversaw many award-winning motion pictures, including “Black Swan,” “Juno,” “Crazy Heart” and “(500) Days of Summer.” His work on these and other projects earned Steckler the distinction of being named one of Hollywood’s “Top 35 Executives Under 35” by The Hollywood Reporter.

Prior to Fox Searchlight, Steckler served as vice president at Di Bonaventura Pictures, where he helped build the company’s slate, working with key studios on major film projects, such as “Salt” with Sony and “Four Brothers” with Paramount. Earlier in his career, Steckler was director of development at Spyglass Entertainment where we worked on such films as “The Recruit,” “Reign of Fire,” “Shanghai Knights,” and “The Count of Monte Cristo.”

Steckler has a BA from Duke University.

Adam Winer

Senior Vice President, Video Data, Programming & Business Strategy

Adam Winer works closely with each of the company’s portfolio of iconic brands to develop multi-platform programming plans, grow audience and adapt to the continuously evolving digital video landscape.

He also oversees CNE’s research and analytics department and develops CNE’s growth strategy. CNE is an award-winning next generation studio and distribution network with entertainment content across film, television, premium digital video, social and virtual reality.

Prior to joining CNE, Winer oversaw all digital content for the music network Fuse. The video and website teams he led spawned two TV series for the cable network and became a Webby honoree. In addition to his digital experience, Winer has also overseen editorial in both television and print. His writing has been featured in GQ, Wired and ESPN. In addition, he spent five years as a cast member on the VH1 pop
culture comedy show “Best Week Ever.”

Winer received his undergraduate degree from Duke University.
