Eurosceptic Tories publish analysis of Theresa May's Brexit deal and claim UK could pay EU £39bn 'for nothing'

Eurosceptic Tories have published an analysis of Theresa May’s Brexit deal and claimed the agreement would see the UK hand £39billion to Brussels with “nothing guaranteed in return”.

The European Research Group (ERG) said Mrs May’s draft deal with the EU risked the break up of the UK and was “completely unacceptable”.

The ERG, which is led by Jacob Rees-Mogg, said Britons would have “surrendered our destiny” under Mrs May’s agreement, leaving the nation “half in and half out” of the bloc.

Downing Street has insisted the Prime Minister’s plan would deliver on the result of the 2016 EU referendum, taking back control of Britain’s borders, laws and money.
