Representation of the People Act, 1918

Extract from the Representation of the People Act of 1918, which gave women over the age of 30 the right to vote; for the same voting rights as men, women had to wait until 1928. Out of all the parliamentary reform Bills, this Act enfranchised the largest number of people. The electorate trebled to 21 million.
