Kathy D: +Morten Ross Wow, do I ever remember those days. So you've just celebrated your 3 year anniversary, right? That's fantastic!! Although it might have been better to postpone your trip, aren't you glad now that you did it? I think you were at a good age that your body struggled through it.

A personal question for you...if the cancer (lord forbid) would come back, would you go through chemo again? I'm reaching the point where when breast cancer does come back, it's usually around now, and I'm trying to formulate a plan ahead of time in case it does.

G+ was supposed to shut down last night. Lots of us stayed up and watched. We had tons of problems, but then suddenly, they repaired themselves, and it's been running smoothly ever since! There's been some speculation that Google did this to clear out the trolls, etc., and that maybe they're not shutting down at all! Wouldn't that be nice?

Morten Ross: +Kathy D I completed treatment in November 2015, so 3 years and 4 months with no relapse, which is most definitely awesome! As the tumor was so incredibly fast growing and on top of that only in stage 1 - it is as early a stage as can be - which is so important for a successful treatment - it gobbled up all the chemo it could and quickly imploded due to its ravenous nature.

At that time my willpower was so much more in control of what I would and could do, that I thought 4 months was enough time after treatment to begin training my body for a recovery. As you know that is such a moronic approach as the body is what it is, and that has been my challenge - to accept it is permanently and severely reduced. My oncologist said time and time again that I must not push my body, but I was as always stubborn and though that by staying active within the limits of the new body would be good. alas - I have learnt my lesson and live fine with a body so incredibly unstable - fine one day and in a valley deep the next. Even within one single day it can go from feeling fine to laying in bed. Completely unpredictable - as you know all too well.

If cancer will return, it is probable it will be as a Non-Hodkins, as quite a few Hodkins patients happen to get that along the way. There's a CEO of a big company with this diagnosis but I simply cannot remember - it's a recent story too and he died from it... The non-Hodkins are a bit more complex to treat with a poorer prognosis, so it is complex. For me chemo was the only option, as the tumor was growing at an alarming speed and as I was waiting for the diagnosis it was stopping blood from draining from my brain, so I was in more and more pain from my head being fuller and fuller with blood. Without chemo I would have died within days - from brain hemorrhage. My answer is just as I live - I cannot say until the moment arrives. Only in that very moment I will see what options lies before me and then choose. The death of the body is certain, only how is uncertain, and perhaps I will simply choose to let life come to an end without any chemo or other treatment to postpone the inevitable.

One thing is that there is an explosion of new treatments popping up, and perhaps in our lifetime we will utilize one or several of these instead of the old school chemo.

Perhaps yesterdays g+ hiccups in the US were in relation to the date - 1st April - lots of hilarious news and stories here in Norway and perhaps g+ employees had fun at work....?
