This brand will no longer produce Diesel cars

Volkswagen has admitted that it has cheated on diesel emission tests, fueling the entire automobile industry and causing a massive back to diesel engines that pollute not too little. As a result, car manufacturers all over the world have accelerated the transition to electric cars, hoping to catch the pioneering pace of Tesla.

"Porsche is not demonizing the diesel engine. It is and will remain an important part of the technology, "said the company's chief executive, Oliver Blume, in a press release.

"We as a sports car manufacturer, for which the diesel engine has always played a secondary role, we have come to the conclusion that we would like a future without diesel," Blume added.

Porsche's existing diesel car customers, however, will continue to rely on the service company. Porsche, which is investing more than 6 billion euros in electric motors up to 2022, said demand for diesel models is falling. The company has never produced diesel engines itself, however, its image, according to the drivers, has been damaged and the diesel crisis has caused a host of nuisances.

Porsche has been selling its diesel versions for over a decade. But, since February, has not received any orders for their production. Next year will launch Taycan, which says it will be a completely electric sports car.
