Condé Nast 2013 Publisher and Executive Awards
Last night, at Condé Nast’s annual publishers and executives conference, CEO Chuck Townsend and president Bob Sauerberg honored the key performances that contributed to the company’s incredibly successful year.
Six brands reached record profitability in 2013, catapulting the company to its best financial year since 2007: The New Yorker, Vanity Fair, Wired, Vogue, GQ and Allure.
Condé Nast Publisher of the Year - Pam Drucker Mann, vice president and publisher of Bon Appétit. Pam led Bon Appétit to an extraordinary year, finishing 2013 as Condé Nast’s number one brand in ad page growth, ad revenue growth, ad profit growth and ad profit margin growth. Named a Media Maven by Ad Age, Pam and Bon Appétit earned top industry accolades for their record results.
Collaborative Leadership Award - editor-in-chief Linda Wells and vice president and publisher Agnes Chapski of Allure. Together, this dynamic duo grew audience, increased revenues and created lucrative partnerships and programs which resulted in Allure reaching its best profit performance since 2008. In their five years together at the helm of Allure, they improved their pre-overhead profit by an impressive 85%.
Corporate Executive of the Year - Monica Ray, executive vice president of the consumer marketing division. Monica improved profit in her area by 10% this past year, while spearheading the company’s first content pay wall, launching Amazon All Access and redefining our product offerings. Condé Nast led the industry in print audience growth in 2013, due in large part to her leadership.
100/100 Club - Susan Plagemann of Vogue, Kevin Martinez of Details and Pam Drucker Mann of Bon Appétit, who all led their teams to a rare and impressive 100+ ad page increases for their brands.
