Jo Swinson has been forced to defend her record as a feminist after admitting she had no power to kick out a Lib Dem peer accused of sexual harassment.
The Lib Dem leader, who described herself as an "enthusiastic" feminist, confessed that it was a "source of huge frustration" that she could not stop Lord Rennard being a member of her party.
Ms Swinson insisted that she 'spoke out' when, as Women and Equalities minister during the coalition, Lord Rennard was accused of the sexual harassment of four women in the party.
