Representatives Council calls on International Community to protect Uighur Muslims in China

  • article
Manama, Jan. 2 (BNA): The Council of Representatives has expressed deep concern over the inhumane and painful conditions to which Uighur Muslims in China are subjected, including the detention of more than one million Muslims in mass detention camps, denial of their most basic rights, the removal of their children, wives and families, their prevention of prayer, worship and religious practices, confronting murder, ill-treatment and torture.

The Representatives Council called on the International Community to play its role and responsibilities, and save the lives of innocent Uighur Muslims through stopping violations against them, protecting them in accordance with  International Humanitarian Law, providing security and the requirements of a just and safe life for them, their families and their children, and ensuring the non-recurrence of arrests and arbitrariness against them.

The Representatives Council expressed its appreciation for the depth of the Bahraini-Chinese relations, stressing everyone's keenness to strengthen relations between the Islamic countries and the friendly Republic of China.
