The Between Women Filmmakers Caravan is kicking off an online edition between 3 and 13 October, where more than 20 films made by female filmmakers will be screened and discussed, in addition to some master-classes and roundtable discussions.
Founded by acclaimed filmmaker Amal Ramses, the festival, which has been held in a number of countries across the globe, is going online this season amid the global COVID-19 pandemic.
In addition to a Q&A discussion with the filmmakers, a master-class by well-known Palestinian filmmaker Mai Masri will be held on 7 October, three days before another roundtable titled 'The Role of Women in Reconstructing the Lebanese Memory,' which will be moderated by Jordanian critic Huda Ibrahim.
With a focus on Lebanese filmmakers, the 2020 edition will host important long and short films from many countries, including Algeria, Greece, Germany, Canada, Tunisia, France, Spain, Ireland, the US and Switzerland.
