Nottingham's infection rate drops below national average

The Covid-19 infection rate in Nottingham has fallen below the national average for the first time since September, according to the latest data.
The figures from Public Health England show the city's seven-day rate is now 269.5 per 100,000 people. The national average is 271.8.
In October, the city had the highest infection rate in England for more than a week.
Copyright: Nottingham City CouncilBassetlaw currently has the highest rate in the county with 408.7 - though that has dropped since last week.
Mansfield's rate of 341.2 is also above the national average, while Ashfield has a rate of 312.7.
