Condé Nast Luxury Conference Cancellation
After five successful editions of the annual Condé Nast Luxury Conference, Suzy Menkes, curator and host of the event, will step down as Editor, Vogue International, from October. As a result of Suzy’s departure, combined with the ongoing uncertainty created by the COVID-19 pandemic, Condé Nast has regrettably taken the decision to cancel the Condé Nast Luxury Conference which was scheduled to take place in Vienna on 9th-10th December.
Suzy Menkes brought the luxury conference concept to Condé Nast in 2015, which has since travelled the world, with editions taking place in diverse locations. Each year, Suzy, a globally respected authority in fashion, with her expert insight and unique access, has brought together leading luxury, fashion and business figures to discuss the luxury industry’s most pertinent topics.
To everyone who has enjoyed the Condé Nast Luxury Conference with us over the past six years, we would like to thank you for all of your support. Should you want to look back at our learnings and the legendary one-liners that have come out of the conferences, please view the Condé Nast Luxury Conference Industry Insights Report.

A message from Suzy Menkes
After six years at Condé Nast, I will be leaving in October, after attending and reporting on the next season of shows, whether physical or virtual.
I have often said that change is the essence of fashion. How true that is! After a career at the Herald Tribune and New York Times, I joined Condé Nast in 2014, leaping into the digital world. During my time at Vogue, I have enjoyed seeing the evolution and development of the fashion and creative industry - from reporting on shows and posting on Instagram, to organising and running some of the greatest conferences and events.
I have enjoyed every moment of my time as Editor, Vogue International, and I am proud of everything I have achieved at the company. I am grateful to all the industry insiders I have worked with, and of course my entire team at Condé Nast, especially Adrian Ting and Natasha Cowan, who have worked with me for ten years. And I am grateful to those who follow my Instagram, and those who listen to my new podcast series.
The current global situation has given me - and all of us - pause for reflection. And so it is time for a new adventure, which I look forward to with excitement. I will continue to write, post, record, and bring together the industry - watch this space for the next stage of my career! And there may be a book or two with my 30 years of photos and diaries...
Please continue to follow me at SuzyMenkes.com and my podcast is available to listen to here.
