US cable television company Home Box Office (HBO) released on Tuesday the first teaser for its upcoming documentary on legendary musician Tina Turner.
Titled Tina, the film is rich in footage capturing the singer’s life and 60-year career.
Written and directed by Daniel Lindsay and T.J. Martin, the film will showcase clips from concerts, interviews, and personal photos, as well as look into Turner's life and relationships, with details never before revealed to public.
"With a wealth of never-before-seen footage, audio tapes, personal photos, and new interviews, including with the singer herself, TINA presents an unvarnished and dynamic account of the life and career of music icon Tina Turner," reads the trailer's description on YouTube.
"Angela Bassett, Oprah Winfrey, journalist Kurt Loder, playwright Katori Hall and Tina's husband Erwin Bach are among the interviews in the intimate documentary."
Tina will premiere on HBO on 27 March 2021.
