Republican donations surge despite corporate boycott after Capitol riots

After the deadly insurrection at the Capitol, dozens of U.S. companies said they would halt political donations to the Republican lawmakers who voted to overturn Donald Trump’s presidential election loss. Smaller grassroots donations more than made up the difference.
