Onlyinclude'd table rows

Option 1, would be to use 'onlyinclude's (mw:onlyinclude). See

Option 2, would be to use a subpage at each service page, e.g. create the table row at ORES/info, and then transclude that to both ORES and to the table page (e.g. Services or whatever).

To do it dynamically, I think, you'd need SemanticWiki, or similar. Not sure though. Quiddity (talk) 22:48, 12 January 2017 (UTC)Reply

A barnstar for you!

For the extra time taken to write Help:Cumin_master. It has been a walk in the park to migrate from Salt to Cumin. Antoine "hashar" Musso (talk) 06:06, 29 September 2017 (UTC)Reply

replacing "puppet agent" commands across docs

Hey Volans,

just wanted to show you I am replacing more "puppet agent" commands with the cumin wrappers based on how you recently said again nobody should run the agents directly anymore. This is all over the place in docs though. Did you ideally want a campaign to replace it all across the wiki?

example: https://wikitech.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=Application_servers%2FRunbook&type=revision&diff=1998705&oldid=1988309

Thanks for editing that, just FYI I did a small follow up edit, see [1].
In my opinion ideally it would be great if we could replace them, at least for production-related documentation. But make sure to check also with User:Jbond, that had also started to see if we could add a wrapper to prevent the usage of those commands entirely, see [2].

Regardless of the wrapper script i think its still a good idea to update all our documentation to use the specific scrips we have e.g. run-puppet-agent, enable-puppet and disable-puppet. thanks dzahn Jbond (talk) 08:30, 22 July 2022 (UTC)Reply
