CHARLESTON, SC (WCIV) — Sen. Lindsey Graham in a series of tweets on Saturday afternoon said he will support President Donald Trump's pick for the U.S. Supreme Court due to two reasons that happened in the past decade.

On Saturday morning, he referenced two stories where he was quoted vaguely saying his opinion on the matter, but it wasn't concrete. Now, that's changed.

Graham said his two reasons were due to a rule change in the Senate in 2013 and the recent nomination of Brett Kavanaugh.

Back in 2013, Democrat Harry Reid changed the Senate rules to allow a majority vote instead of a three-fifths majority to vote for Circuit Court nominees. However, the Supreme Court still requires a three-fifths majority vote.

Graham's second reason was that "Chuck Schumer and his friends in the liberal media conspired to destroy the life of Brett Kavanaugh and hold that Supreme Court seat open."
