Guinea protests: Demands for justice and accountability

Nearly 80 protesters have been killed in Guinea since last year. But, there have been no arrests or accountability for those involved.

The family of a student killed last week by Guinea’s security forces say they want justice for 16-year-old Alseny Barry.

He was killed in an opposition stronghold during last week’s demonstrations.

There have been months of protests against President Alpha Conde, demanding his resignation.

The opposition says the government is using the coronavirus pandemic to crack down on dissent.
