The Allard  Video Competition invites individuals to submit short original video entries related to corruption or human rights. Entries can be documentary in nature or stories that consider corruption or human rights issues and can use and draw from a wide variety of mediums, disciplines and artistic expressions including dance, music, and visual and graphic art forms. Entrants are encouraged to be creative and consider the breadth and range of corruption, which takes many forms, including corporate corruption, government corruption, extortion, bribery, fraud, tax evasion, patronage, beneficial ownership secrecy, corporate capture, the violation of indigenous and local community rights, and the illegal exploitation of natural resources.

Entries must be no more than seven minutes in length. All entries should be original and unpublished, though creators are permitted to use existing audio or video material in their entry provided any required permissions have been obtained and the rights-holders are appropriately acknowledged. When an entry presents factual information, it should reflect a truthful portrayal of the situation or story presented.

This competition is adjudicated by the Allard Prize Committee. Winning entries will receive a CA$10,000 prize and be featured and promoted on the Allard Prize website and social media channels.
