Armenia’s Prosecutor General’s Office has confirmed that a criminal case has been filed against president of the Supreme Judicial Council Ruben Vardazaryan.
“I cannot reveal any details, a case has been filed,” advisor to the prosecutor general Gor Abrahamyan told Aysor.am.
He said according to legal regulations no additional information is being provided about the cases relating to judges.
As to the consent of the Supreme Judicial Council, Abrahamyan said in case of judges two regimes are working.
“If the criminal case, the filed criminal persecution does not relate to the implementation of the authorities of the judge, there is no issue of getting such consent. In this case we are dealing with the case I have mentioned,” the adviser said.
