Armenia’s acting minister of defense Vagharshak harutyunyan held a phone conversation with Russian counterpart, general of the Russian army Sergey Shoygu.
The heads of defense agencies of the two countries discussed the situation in Syunik province.
Harutyunyan briefed to Russian counterpart the actions of the Armenian side, noting that in the territories, including in Lake Sev where the Azerbaijanis penetrated both the whole territory, soldiers and the roads are under full control of the Armenian army.
The Armenian acting defense minister attached significance to the need of peaceful settlement of the situation, stressing at the same time the inadmissibility of any encroachment on sovereign territory of Armenia.
Harutyunyan and Shoygu also discussed issues on Armenian-Russian military cooperation, the mission of Russian peacekeeping troops in Artsakh as well as issues on regional security.
