U.S. Embassy in Armenia issued a statement on the visit of the Ambassador Lynne Tracy to Armenia’s Syunik Province.
According to it, the visit to Syunik in April had no relation with the visits of the Armenian officials to the province.
The statement says that in Syunik Tracy did not meet or speak with either Pashinyan or President Sarkissian.
The Embassy said that the ambassador departed to Syunik to personally get familiarized with the situation created as a result of pandemic and the war.
The statement says that the ambassador also met with the stakeholders of the U.S. Government’s grant programs and discussed the ways to ensure the continuity of the cooperation for the benefit of Syunik’s restoration and development.
