Warrant 'had an effect' on Sudan's Omar al-Bashir - ICC counsel

The lead counsel for Darfur rebels at the International Criminal Court says that the arrest warrant "had an effect" on Sudan's President Omar al-Bashir.

Karim Khan, a British barrister, believes it may have influenced Mr Bashir's decision to flee South Africa.

However Mr Khan believes there has been an "erosion of trust" in the ICC within South Africa.
