Here’s Where Every Song on Blackpink’s New Album Debuts on the Billboard Global Charts

Following the Oct. 2 release of BLACKPINK‘s The Album, all songs from the South Korean girl group’s debut LP rank on Billboard‘s two new worldwide-based charts, the Billboard Global 200 and Billboard Global Excl. U.S.

Thanks to to the already-charting “Ice Cream,” with Selena Gomez and “How You Like That,” and debuts from the rest of the eight-song set, The Album achieves full saturation in the top 100 of both tallies (dated Oct. 17). The set performs better on the Global Excl. U.S. chart, with all eight tracks in the top 50, five of which crack the top 20.

“Lovesick Girls,” the group’s strongest debut, launches atop Global Excl. U.S., and at No. 2 on the Global 200.

It’s followed by “Ice Cream” (No. 11, Global Excl. U.S.; No. 17, Global 200) and “How You Like That” (No. 14, Global Excl. U.S.; No. 24, Global 200). Both songs rebound this week, with the latter achieving a new peak after starting at No. 20 on Excl. U.S. chart and No. 33 on the respective Sept. 19 surveys.

Along with Gomez, Cardi B serves as The Album’s only other credited collaborator, on “Bet You Wanna,” which enters at No. 17 on the Global Excl. U.S. chart and No. 25 on the Global 200.

“Pretty Savage” rounds out the group’s top 20 hits on the Global Excl. U.S. chart, debuting at No. 18, while starting at No. 32 on the Global 200.

Plus, “Crazy Over You,” “Love to Hate Me,” and “You Never Know” arrive at Nos. 30, 33, and 43 on the Global Excl. U.S. chart and Nos. 49, 54, and 64 on the Global 200.

The BLACKPINK brigade doesn’t stop there. 2019’s “Kill This Love” (No. 126, up eight spots) and 2018’s “Ddu-Du-Ddu-Du” (No. 144, up 22 spots) add to the group’s haul on the Global Excl. U.S. tally.

That gives the group a combined 10 songs on this week’s tally, the most of any act on the ranking in any week since the list launched last month.

Combined, BLACKPINK’s eight songs from The Album on the Global 200 drew 333.3 million streams and sold 70,000 downloads worldwide in the tracking week ending Oct. 8, according to Nielsen Music/MRC Data.
