Retail jobs have been undergoing something of a transformation, with significant demand for more experienced professionals to fill roles in e-commerce, digital marketing, consumer behavior/analytics and more. As industry publication the Business of Fashion just reported, the nature of a career in retail has changed substantially. MBAs are well positioned to benefit from this shift. As in other areas, focused programs at business schools on data analytics, as one example, are enabling more targeted learning. From this year’s ranking, IESE sent the largest number of MBAs—29—into retail jobs, more than any other school globally. The highest median salary is among Wharton’s MBAs, at $147,500.
