Schools with fewer than 3 hires are excluded from the list.
Until 2023 the US tech sector had been absorbing about a fifth of newly minted MBAs, more than any other industry except consulting. At top schools at least one leading tech company typically ranks among the largest individual recruiters. But this past year, those forces slowed as the tech industry contracted, causing unease at business schools. Longer term, B-school leaders and career office directors say technology jobs will only continue to grow—across industries that incorporate artificial intelligence, machine learning and data analytics. These are the tech jobs of the future for MBAs. For this year technology holds among the top three industries hiring MBAs—third, specifically, accounting for 2,832 hires from 104 participating business schools.
