The clean up process in regards to this forum works like this:
- - you submit a request by creating a new post in the Region Cleanup: Cities & Crossing Zones forum
- - a member of the Clean Up team picks up your request
- - they double check the legitimacy of your request
- - your request is fulfilled, OR they will reply post in your forum thread asking you for more info
What the team need from you:
- - A clear header - you can see from past examples of posts how this is done
- - LINKS!!!! Don't just post a list of places names. Direct us where we are looking
- - Check back - once you have made a request, check back regularly to see if you've been asked any questions about it, OR;
-- If it has been commented that it has been "Done", you yourself can label the post header with [DONE] using the "edit" function.
--------------------------------------------------------
EXAMPLE:
Please consolidate/merge* the following - New Jersey is not a city within New York, it is its own state:
USA > New York > New Jersey > Parsippany, New Jersey
https://www.bookcrossing.com/---/56153
into...
USA > New Jersey > Parsippany
https://www.bookcrossing.com/---/16952
*state clearly which one is to be to merged into another
Spelling correction & add address:
Alamo Draft House, downtown
https://www.bookcrossing.com/---/37922
Edit: Draft House To: Drafthouse
Add the address : 320 E 6th St, Austin, TX 78701
--------------------------------------------------------
Once the request has been attended to, the post header will be labelled with [DONE] to indicate this.
In the instance where you yourself have created a release zone, but made a spelling mistake, you can fix that yourself simply by :
- - looking the zone up on the Go Hunting page
- - find the 'Edit' button and that will let you correct the zone name and the address
- - remember to hit SAVE at the very bottom
Please do not "bump" a post.
It will already have our attention, but it takes time to process a request because each one must be individually searched, checked and only then is it manipulated/edited in BookCrossing's database.
If you have multiple requests within the same region, these can be done in 1 post.
For further info, here is an article from 2008, much of which is still relevant:

Thank you.
