Justin's new music video reveals claims of stolen footage and threats were a hoax to promote the clip.

Justin Bieber has unveiled the music video for his new single 'Beauty And A Beat', which reveals that the recent threats made against him to release "personal footage" were a prank to promote the video's premiere.

The 'Boyfriend' singer complained on Twitter at the start of this week claiming someone had stolen his camera and laptop, and yesterday (11th October) Twitter user @gexwy began threatening to release the footage and teasing Justin about the supposed revelations they would be making.

However, Justin tweeted today (12th October) to upload the official music video for his team-up with rapper Nicki Minaj', which soon reveals that it had all been a media stunt.

"Since I was 14 I have had a lot of things said about me, from dying, to taking hormones, to dying again, to stuff about my family, to saying I had a baby with a woman I never even met," Justin tweeted after uploading the video. "Nude pics, drugs, my family, my character… but today… today I get to be in on it."

The video for 'Beauty And A Beat' opens with written text about the 'theft' of Justin's personal footage, claiming the "following footage was illegally uploaded by an anonymous blogger', and flashing through several home videos before zooming in on Justin's face while he holds up a handheld camera.

Justin then leads the camera around a wild pool party where he performs in front of female dancers on podiums, party revellers and synchronised swimmers.

Guest artist Nicki Minaj also makes an appearance to performs her rap section of the song on the top of the pool's diving board while dancing next to Justin.

After uploading the video for 'Beauty And A Beat' Justin tweeted fans to say he was looking to go the "10 million mark" on views for the video, and received one final tweet from Twitter user @gexwy simply saying: "HEREE IT IS @JUSTINBIEBER!!"

'Beauty And A Beat' is the latest single to be released from Justin's 2012 album 'Believe', following the release of 'Boyfriend' and 'As Long As You Love Me' earlier this year.
